A mere two weeks later on a Thursday morning, I was sitting at my computer, heart pounding, about to open the email that contained our official engagement photos. Sure, we got to see a couple sneak peeks from the photographer, but this was the whole lot of them! Already late, I could barely contain my excitement and decided that work could wait just a little bit longer. I grabbed one more handful of cereal, sat at my kitchen table, and clicked the link... I was stunned and so incredibly happy about what I was looking at... On my screen were the most beautiful photos I had ever seen and the first professional ones we had ever taken as a couple. Naturally, Jayson and I got no work done at our jobs that afternoon. We were too busy looking at the pictures and messaging one another. I can safely say that this was one of the most wonderful experiences of our engagement so far, and maybe even of our relationship. Which leaves me with one last tip... Tip #5: Soak it all in! There was a point right before we were about to head to the park when I was second guessing this whole idea. "It's going to be too crowded", "What if my hair looks awful?", and "There's a good chance we could get kicked out" were all negative thoughts clouding my mind. But as soon as we hit the entrance gates, I remembered where I was, who I was with, and why I was doing this in the first place. Suddenly, I was okay with the possibility of little things going wrong because I was here with the man of my dreams and we were getting professional pictures taken in Disneyland. It meant so much to me that we were able to capture these beautiful moments in my absolute favorite place on Earth, and that we will have them for the rest of our lives. I can't wait for the day when we show our kids and then visit Disneyland with them to see how much the park has changed and reminisce back on this moment.
